Has officially started! Finally I can eat a bit more food, and more varieties as well. I can get back to my frozen protein (ice cream) before bed and my grilled burgers 🙂 I still keep it clean offseason because I only have 3 months to put on as much lean muscle as possible before we start cutting for the NAC British Finals and the NAC Universe. 3 months to maximise my training – I like that challenge!
It’s been a week now and finally my body is almost settled again, water is almost gone now and I got my veins back, too. Training is still not as heavy as it used to be offseason; I need another few weeks to catch up with my strength.
Let’s see what happened in the past week:
Came back on Monday evening and didn’t get a lot of rest, I was back in the gym Tuesday morning training shoulders. It feels good to train with a bit more carbs in me and having a bit more energy while training, although my strength is still not back to ‘normal’. I guess it will take another 2-3 weeks to see some increase in the weights I lift. I don’t want to push it too much because I don’t want to get injured. Once my strength is back I can start going heavy again, then I will enjoy training 200% again!
On Thursday I visited the big man himself. I haven’t seen him since the competition in Russia and I wanted to thank him for his continuous support, encouragement and help that he’s been giving me since we started working together. He always believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. I wish there were more people around me like him! But let me tell you something: he is one of a kind!

I had a great night out with my friend Rob aka Chiseled Ice, who’s been behind me 100% during my prep. He even baked a winning protein cake for me – and it was so yummie!!! We went for a steak at the Beefeater, had a lovely meal and a great time! I look forward to competing with him again at the NAC British Finals in Manchester!

Generally when I’m prepping I train on my own, especially during the last few weeks because I just want to get in, do my thing and leave, but offseason I like training with other people. Yesterday I had a great leg session with Sam Stone and he nearly killed my legs! No wonder he’s got such a great pair of them!

From now on I will have more training pictures and videos uploaded on here. I’m thinking about doing a whole video series on my prep for the Universe, but i’ll update you on that a bit later. I need someone who can do the videos for me on a regular basis.
Anyway, that’s all for today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and don’t forget to check back soon!
